We had a little hiatus following the pandemic, but now we're back with some exciting projects coming up

The Lights Are Back On Remember us? The theatre crew with the Arduino

sketches, salvaged electronics, and a dangerous amount of enthusiasm for making museums weird? Yeah, we took a little break. The pandemic hit, the world got quiet, and frankly, creating interactive experiences where people touch stuff and gather in spaces became... complicated.

What We've Been Up To (Besides Missing You)

While the world was on pause, we weren't exactly sitting still. We were still creating. Experimenting. Prototyping. Breaking things and fixing them again. Building the next generation of installations and live experiences that we couldn't wait to unleash on unsuspecting museum visitors, theatre audiences and festival-goers. We've been tinkering with new tech, refining our craft, and dreaming up experiences that are bigger, weirder, and more wonderful than ever.

The Future Is Bright (And Probably Has LEDs)

So what's next? Oh, we're glad you asked. We've got projects firmly in the calendar (with tickets on sale soon) that will make you question reality, installations that respond to your presence in ways you didn't know were possible, and stories waiting to be told through light, sound, and pure theatrical magic. We're partnering with some of our favorite collaborators to create some really exciting stuff over the next few months.

Consider This Your Backstage Pass

This is just the beginning. We're very much back, we're energised, and we've got a whole arsenal of smoke machines, projection mapping rigs, and experimental code ready to deploy. Over the coming months, you'll see what we've been cooking up in the lab. Shows with a touch of magic ;). Installations that spark wonder. Experiences that remind everyone why immersive storytelling matters. The spirit of scrappy experimentation is alive and well. The DIY ethos is stronger than ever. And Despite the Monkey is ready to make some magic. Power up, step in, and watch this space. The best is yet to come.
